Blair Witch Project Is in the Works & Ready to Haunt You

It’s time to ask the question again: Aren’t you afraid enough?

Lionsgate and Blumhouse are officially developing and producing a new Blair Witch Project film 25 years after the original horror film hit theaters, the companies announced at CinemaCon on April 10.

The original Blair Witch Project star Heather Donahue, Michael C. WilliamsAnd Joshua Leonard as three film students who disappear in 1994 after traveling to a Maryland forest to film a documentary about a local myth, known as the Blair Witch, leaving their footage behind. After grossing $248 million at the box office, it spawned a sequel in 2000. Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2as well as a 2016 reboot, simply titled Blair Witch.

But as for the upcoming movie, the rest of the scary details will have to wait, as the cast and plot haven’t been announced. And it’s unclear whether the OG stars or the film’s writers and directors Daniel Myrick And Edward Sanchezwill be involved in the new film.
