Biden asks how many times Trump has to prove ‘we’ can’t be trusted in latest gaffe

President Joe Biden questioned how many times former President Donald Trump needed to prove that “us” couldn’t be trusted in his latest campaign gaffe Tuesday.

“Friends, in a sense, I don’t know why we’re surprised by Trump,” Biden said during a stop in Florida. “How many times does he have to prove that we can’t be trusted?” »

The 81-year-old was criticizing his Republican opponent for the repeal of women’s reproductive rights and health care across the country following the overturning of Roe V. Wade when he slipped on his words.

Instead of saying “he,” meaning Trump, he said “we” couldn’t be trusted.

Last week, the presumptive Democratic candidate for 2024 mistook the Israeli port city of Haifa for the last refuge for civilians in the Gaza Strip – Rafah – in a stunning error.

The error came in an interview with Nexstar Media’s Reshad Hudson who asked the president about his plan to win back pro-Palestinian voters in the wake of Israel’s war against Hamas.

When Biden misspoke on Tuesday, he was at a Tampa community college speaking out against the state’s six-week abortion ban, which takes effect next Wednesday.

He blamed Trump for the “crisis in women’s health care all across this country” in his remarks at Hillsborough Community College.

“There was one person who was responsible for this nightmare,” Biden said. “And he admitted it and he brags about it – Donald Trump.”

In November, Floridians will be able to vote on a ballot measure that would change the ban on abortion after six weeks of pregnancy to after 24 weeks.

Every time the issue of abortion has come up – including in solidly conservative states – voters have chosen to pass greater protections for women’s rights to abortion.
