However, his BKFC KnuckleMania 4 co-main event bout against heavyweight king Mike Terrill ended in disaster.

Hunt, who entered the fight with an impressive 11-1 bare-knuckle boxing record, was dropped by a clean uppercut in the very first round.

It appeared to be just a flash knockdown, but he was seriously injured falling to the ground and trapping his left arm behind his back.

Hunt’s elbow was dislocated before the referee intervened and stopped his fight with Terrill after just 108 seconds.

Footage of the horrific fight-ending incident quickly went viral on social media and it didn’t take long for fans to express their disgust at the worrying injury.

One person tweeted: “Horrible.”

Another said: “It was fucking disgusting. »

Someone else wrote: “That was nasty. »

Rather than immediately seek medical attention, Hunt stood in the middle ring with someone holding his arm in place while the official decision was announced.

After the fight, he insisted that he had not been particularly injured by his opponent and was only able to continue fighting because he had suffered an unfortunate injury.

“I wasn’t really hurt, I could have gotten back up and kept fighting,” Hunt said.

“My arm was dislocated. It didn’t work for me tonight. Each division is always on notice. You will see me again soon.

Terrill wanted to make sure Hunt’s injury didn’t overshadow the fact that he was winning the fight and had just scored a heavy knockdown.

He added: “Obviously Lorenzo broke his arm there. I won and it’s great. I like Lorenzo, but I let him down with the uppercut when he broke his arm.

Hunt must begin the long process of healing from his injury.

Terrill will begin looking for another opponent to defend his heavyweight title against after improving to 10-1 in the sport.
