Heuermann has been locked up in prison since his arrest last July for the murders of four women whose bodies were found buried next to each other on a remote stretch of Gilgo Beach in 2010.

Ellerup’s court appearance comes just weeks after she insisted her ex-husband was “not capable” of committing the four murders and gave the accused serial killer “the the benefit of the doubt “.

She filed for divorce just days after her arrest.
