Angry Emma Hayes pushes Jonas Eidevall clash after Arsenal end Chelsea Women’s quadruple hopes in Conti Cup final
Chelsea Women boss Emma Hayes clashed with Jonas Eidevall at the full-time whistle of Arsenal’s Women’s Conti Cup victory.
The Gunners beat the Blues 1-0 thanks to a 115th-minute winner from Stina Blackstenius after a tight draw in normal time.
Arsenal have now won the Conti Cup for the second season in a row, with their latest triumph being the seventh in total.
That ends Chelsea’s hopes of winning a quadruple in Hayes’ final season as she prepares to join the United States women’s team.
And she was not impressed at full time as her team were defeated late and in dramatic circumstances.
Hayes and Eidevall shook hands at the end, but the former seemed to have strong words for the latter.
She pushed him lightly and pointed at him as she walked away, Eidevall making a confused face.
