On Thursday, Zia Yusuf, who resigned from his post as president of the British reform, will have to return to work for the party in a new role.

Yusuf will direct what the party calls its “Doge team” – which is modeled on the government’s ministry of efficiency set up by US President Donald Trump.

On Saturday, the chief of the Nigel Farage reform told the BBC that Yusuf would assume a more public role for the party in a new role, appearing more frequently in the media.

He said: “Zia regrets what he said and did the other day. It was a combination of 11 months of hard work and exhaustion.”

In an article on X, Yusuf said that he had received a large number of messages the pressing to reconsider the party’s departure and explained why he had resigned two days ago.

“After 11 months of work as a volunteer to build a political party from zero, with a day of leave, my tweet was a decision born of exhaustion,” he wrote.

Yusuf said he had come to politics “by belief that Nigel Farage was the man” to direct the country, adding “I believe in these things more than ever”.

Before his resignation, Yusuf had criticized Sarah Pochin, who won Runcorn and Helsby Partial for the party last month.

She urged Sir Keir Starmer to ban Burka “in the interest of public security” during the beginnings of the Prime Minister’s questions on Wednesday.

Yusuf said he was “stupid for a party to ask the PM if he would do something that the party itself would not do”. A ban by Burka is not a party reform policy.

Farage told the BBC Yusuf, which is Muslim, “obtains even more racial violence on X than ever” when Islam is discussed.

“Retrospectively, he knows a lot, it is bots trying to harm the reform. They are not members of the reform,” he added.

“Yes, part of this is the right Alt, but there are a lot of robots. He regrets it and wants to continue working for us.”

Other appointments by the party in what is expected soon in what it described as an “extended management structure”.
