His comments come after Bloomberg and the Financial Times reportedly reported on the latest Washington minerals in kyiv, which would grant the United States access to oil, gas and minerals in Ukraine thanks to a joint investment fund that would divide these projects between the two countries.
The Ukrainian president confirmed that kyiv had officially received a new project of the proposed agreement of Washington, which included “many new provisions which had not been discussed previously,” as well as “certain aspects which had already been rejected by both parties”, according to the Ukrainian media.
The European Commission will carry out an assessment of the text, which could grant preferential treatment to American companies, once there is a “concrete agreement with the letters Black on White”, said on Friday Paula Pinho, chief spokesperson for the Commission.
“Such an agreement should be examined from the point of view of relations between Ukraine and the EU and, in particular, in terms of membership negotiations,” added Pinho.
