Trump has repeatedly said that he planned to end the Russian war against Ukraine soon and claims to have made progress towards this end already in conversations with President Vladimir Putin. The Russian chief, says Trump, “wants people to stop dying in the war” – the team of the American president concedes, however, that the two parties will have to abandon something to end the conflict.
Russia, on the other hand, has launched several massive drone attacks against Ukrainian energy infrastructure recently, continues to advance in the Donetsk region in the east of the country and does not seem to be open to agreements.
“In the Kursk region, the neonazis operating there … (control) an area of about two meters and a depth of one and a half meters,” said Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Russian Affairs, In a Post telegram on Tuesday. “Zelensky makes similar declarations to hide the real scale of the disaster for the armed forces in this direction.”
The Russian forces occupied 3,600 additional square kilometers from the territory of Ukraine last year and now controls around 20% of the country. Kyiv troops, on the other hand, control around 500 square kilometers in the Kursk region of Far West of Russia.
