Zayn Malik returns to music with cover of Jimi Hendrix’s ‘Angel’

How is it for some night shifts?

Zayn Malik is back with new music in honor of what would have been jimi hendrix80th birthday on November 27.

On November 25, the A direction alum dropped his version of the guitarist 1971 song “Angel”, which debuted on his posthumous album The cry of love.

Zayn debuted the song from the first line, “Angel Came Down From Heaven”.

It appears to be approved by the late icon’s team, as Jimi’s Instagram page released a teaser for the song earlier in the week. A spokesperson for Experience Hendrix, LLC said Billboard“We’re thrilled Zayn was inspired to use the original music from Jimi Hendrix’s ‘Angel’ in his recording of the song. We hope this take on a Hendrix classic will enlighten a new generation of listeners to the genius of Jimi and beyond to propel his continuing legacy.”
