FRISCO, TX – There could be more offensive firepower heading the way for the Dallas Cowboys heading into May OTAs, via a talented veteran receiver. Zay Jones, a former second-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2017, is visiting with Team USA on Wednesday as he works through his free agency process.
Jones, 29, was released on April 30 by the Jacksonville Jaguars, the organization he spent the final two seasons of his NFL career with, and the Cowboys know that all too well.
That’s because Jones scored three touchdowns and had 109 receiving yards in the overtime win over the Cowboys in 2022. That performance undoubtedly stuck in the mind of head coach Mike McCarthy, also the he offensive play caller in Dallas last season.
