Arlington, Texas – The return of Zach Neto to the Angels is apparently imminent.
One day after Neto finished his consecutive games on the field for Triple-A Salt Lake, which was considered an important test, he was photographed at Long Beach airport on Thursday afternoon.
Officially, the angels have said nothing final on the moment Neto is activated. Neto, who played Sacramento on Wednesday evening, was to be evaluated, which could be the purpose of his trip to southern California. The Angels open a six -game home against the San Francisco giants on Friday evening.
“He reprimands himself to come back,” said the angels manager Ron Washington on Thursday. “He really wants to come back. And we want him to come back. We had good conversations on his training sessions and what he feels. And giving it more or less wisdom.
Neto suffered shoulder surgery in November. He started getting bats in the minor league at the end of March, and he started playing Triple-A on April 1. The maximum time for a rehabilitation assignment is 20 days, so anyway his time in Triple-A would take place after Sunday’s match.
Neto struck .286 with four circuits and a .988 OPS in 13 games in Triple-A. He was stopping at eight times and he was the DH in other games. He did not play a full match at the COURT stop before Sunday, then he did it Tuesday and Wednesday.
The angels have examined everything that Neto has done on the field because they want to make sure that his shoulder is ready for all the throws that a game could present. He faced a particularly difficult game on Wednesday evening, when he passed in the middle for a ball on the ground and had to throw a rotation in the first.

Torii Hunter, a special Angels assistant, watched from afar while Mike Trout adjusted the right field and Jo Adell adjusted to the central field.
Although it is too early to draw conclusions, the former voltiseur Gold Glove said that the two have made progress, but there is no longer to make.
“Trout still learns it,” said Hunter, who lives in the Dallas region and was at the stadium this week. “It is such a talent, such a large athlete in the outside field that it might not seem to be missing, but we always know that he still has a certain growth. This is the first time he has been there.” He has held it. “
The defensive metrics – which are not so relevant at the start of the season – have shown that trout is a negative 2 in terms of outcome above the average so far in the right field.
Adell was neutral in terms of OAA in the central field.
“Adell also held it in the center,” said Hunter. “There is always something to work, always something to improve, but it is also such a good athlete. He probably sees the ball better in the center than in the right field. He holds it down.”
Notes
The angels signed the right -handed veteran Hector Neris to a minor league agreement. Neris, 35, did not have a full spring training after signing with the Braves d’Atlanta after the opening of the camp. He launched two games with the Braves, granting five points in a round. The angels will work it in Arizona and then send it to Triple-A to launch. Neris had an MPM of 4.10 in 62 major league games last season, with the Cubs of Chicago and the Astros of Houston. …
The third goal player Yoán Moncada (the right thumb on the right) began to strike on the right side, but he is not ready to strike on the left side. Moncada did defensive exercises all the time on the injured list. The angels always debate if he will need an assignment of rehabilitation when he can finally swing on the left side. “There have been conversations that he might have to go and get some bats, and there have also been conversations that his presence is important here,” said Washington. “He will understand it. We have not yet locked up what planned to do.”
