Earlier today (January 20), Kid Rock left viewers cringing after he attempted to flirt with a presenter during a live TV interview.
Appearing on BBC News to discuss Donald Trump’s second inauguration, the All summer singer (real name Robert James Ritchie), derailed the discussion after informing Irish journalist Caitríona Perry that she had a “sexy” voice.
Towards the end of the interview, the musician asks journalist Perry about his whereabouts. Reporting from the capital, she responds: “I’m standing on a roof in these very, very cold conditions. We’ll be on air for 12 hours, so I don’t think I’ll have as fun a day as the one you have planned for yourself!
Then, after letting Perry know that he couldn’t see her, and therefore didn’t know what she looked like (which is a big deal, apparently), the reporter responds, “I look to be ready to hit the slopes here, I can tell you that. I’m here in full ski gear with my hat, gloves, everything, ready to rock because you need to be protected from the elements, right.
In response, Rock does his best to turn on the charm – seemingly unfazed by the countless viewers watching at home – and declares, “I love going skiing.” You look sexy, do you want to come with me?
Unsurprisingly, Perry is stunned by Rock’s inappropriate comments and awkwardly laughs at the encounter, before declaring, “Well, we won’t get into that here!” We’re not skiing here, we’ve got a day of broadcasting to do.”
Last night (January 19), Rock, who is a longtime Trump supporter, performed at the Make America Great Again Rally at Capital One Arena.
Before his performance, the musician joked that the Secret Service had banned him from using strippers on stage. This morning, Rock revealed on Fox and friends that Trump then called him to ask if it was true, if the agency had actually restricted the use of scantily clad performers.
“Friday morning I got a call from the president and Melania and it was pretty mind-blowing. I tried to leave him alone, he’s got a lot on his plate, I think, at the moment,” he said. explain.
“He called and he asked, ‘Did the Secret Service really tell you you couldn’t use strippers?’ ” To which he told the station he responded, “No sir, I was just joking. »
