The third campaign of Alexander Zverev for a first title of the Grand Chelem ended with a disappointing grief when he went down in two sets to Jannik Sinner in the final of the Australian Open 2025 on Sunday. Having already lost in the US Open 2020 and the final of French Open in 2024 in five sets, the Australian Open final lasted only three sets while the 27 -year -old German was erased by the Italian magic gameplay at the Rod Laver Arena.
“I do everything I can. I work as hard as ever. I think I do all the right things off. I think I practice good things. But I lost in straight sets today. I mean, these are facts. It’s a fact. I lost Jannik in two sets today, “said Zverev.

Zverev found the support of Sinner who asked him to “continue working hard”.
“Continue to believe in you,” said Sinner. “Continue working hard because we all think that you can lift one of these very, very soon.”
Zverev was also applauded by the winner of the Grand Slam 24 times Novak Djokovic on Instagram. Djokovic in his message for Zverev wrote: “Sasha, continue to believe my friend!” You have it in you ”.
He also congratulated the sinner by writing “Auluri Jannik” for his Instagram history.
Djokovic had placed his bet on Zverev to break his big duck before the final.
Rafael Nadal, in his congratulations message, said: “Congratulations Jan, impressive!”
In the US Open 2020 final, Zverev lost against Dominic Thiem 2–6, 4–6, 6–4, 6–3, 7–6 (8–6). In the French final of 2024, Carlos Alcaraz beat Zverev 6–3, 2–6, 5–7, 6–1, 6–2.
