Gukesh Domomraju had a mixed race since he was crowned the youngest world champion in Singapore in December. The 18-year-old Indian Grand Master was a finalist in the Tata Steel chess tournament at Wijk Aan Zee, in the Netherlands, after losing against compatriot R Praggnanandhaa in Tie bris. “It is an interesting format. I can’t wait to play the next free event in Paris from April 8 to 15, ”added Gukesh.
Gukesh is also looking forward to facing Carlsen in the chess event in Norway later this year, in which the world n ° 3 will face the best classified player in classic format for the first time since his quarter -finals meeting during the Fide 2023 World Cup.
“It will undoubtedly be a great learning experience by playing Magnus. I can’t wait to play my best, ”he added.
