Xbox would have signed the first game from the new studio of the co-founders of Rocksteady

Xbox Game Studios has reportedly signed the next game from Rocksteady co-founders Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker.

This is according to eXputer, which claims that London-based Hundred Star Games is working on a triple-A single-player action-adventure title powered by Unreal Engine 5.

Microsoft is reportedly funding the project, which is initially expected to be released on Xbox consoles and PC.

Although the studio has yet to be officially announced, it emerged in January that Hill and Walker were listed as directors of the company on business news site Endole.

Hundred Star also has a listing on the Great Place to Work website that reads: “Hundred Star Games is a video games start-up based in East London. Our philosophy is to create a small team of just 100 industry veterans and emerging talents, who are committed to creating cutting-edge gaming experiences that inspire and captivate gamers around the world.

“With innovation at our core, we are committed to pushing boundaries, embracing diversity, and fostering a vibrant gaming community. Our empowering company culture is unique to the industry and encourages leadership at all levels, accountability, team support, vulnerability and connection.

Hundred Star Games is currently also recruiting through an official website. It hired several core developers and former Rocksteady employees at the director level, according to LinkedIn profiles spotted by Polygon.

Hill and Walker, who were both employees at Argonaut Games, founded Batman studio Arkham Rocksteady in 2004.

They confirmed their intention to “start a new adventure together in games” when their departure from Rocksteady was announced in 2022.
