Xbox Fans Slam New Free-to-Play RPG Because We Can Never Be Simply Happy

Despite only being out for a day, the latest action RPG has already been met with a spate of negative reviews, with disgruntled players claiming it’s “woke.”

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn was released earlier this week by game studio A44 Games.

The explosive Souls-lite title is set in a world where weapons and gods clash in a battle for the future of humanity.

“The gate to the Great Below has been opened, releasing the Gods and their armies of the Dead,” reads the official synopsis.

“The lands of Kian are under siege, the city of Dawn is on the brink of destruction. It is time for the Coalition army to strike back.

Embrace vengeance, gunpowder, and magic as you embark on an epic journey to defeat the gods, close the gate, and take back the world.

However, according to a Reddit user on r/xbox, Flintlock rifle has already been bombarded with negative reviews claiming it is “woke trash.”

“I like this game, but Xbox fans are hard to please. Games are already bombarded with reviews saying things like “Woke Garbage! No game.” The game doesn’t change anything about the game and didn’t promise to, so I don’t see what the problem is,” they wrote.

Why is it “woke” you might ask? According to these struggling gamers, Flintlock rifle is awake because it features a black main character. Yeah, that’s it.

As a result, even though they’ve probably never played a single minute of the game, they’ve taken to the Xbox Store to share their frustrations.

For those who are not put off by such nonsense, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC and is worth experiencing for yourself.
