An NXT star kicked off the new multi-year partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling in style by issuing an open challenge.
As the two companies entered into an official partnership, all eyes were on TNA Genesis, with excitement surrounding WWE’s potential involvement on the card.
The first crossover between the companies occurred at the TNA Genesis Countdown show ahead of the event’s main card, with WWE NXT star Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis showing up at the Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas, Texas to kick off a challenge open to any TNA star. in the locker room.
Taking on the challenge would be none other than Jake Something, who was back in a TNA ring for the first time in over a month.
Even though this was Ashante’s TNA debut, he would have had no luck as a newbie as Something won the match by hitting “Into the Void” on the NXT star.
