WWE star Chelsea Green claims NYC hotel thought she was an escort, kicked her out — week before Wrestlemania

WWE superstar Chelsea Green claims she was kicked out of a Manhattan hotel because staff thought she was an escort due to her clothes – less than a week before the biggest night of the promotion, Wrestlemania.

Green, 33, who was in New York for WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” at the Barclays Center, said she and a friend planned to have drinks at the Plaza Hotel’s Champagne Bar Tuesday night before watching a show on Broadway.

However, his plans changed due to the anger of the hotel staff.

“Dude…one night you’re wrestling at the Barclays Center, having the time of your life and the next day you’re kicked out of @FairmontHotels and accused of being an escort because of your outfit,” Green posted on Wednesday.

She claimed the incident happened around 5:45 p.m. when the two friends tried to start their night at the bar but were told to leave because they weren’t staying at the Midtown Hotel, according to TMZ.

An unknown guest allegedly asked Green to have a drink with them, allowing them to pass through security, which only further irritated staff.

“Come back here. We don’t play your games. We know what you’re doing here,” Green called back to the outlet, yelling at one of the staff members.

Green believed that employees at the luxury Fifth Avenue lodge thought her clothes – a white top, denim mini-skirt, boots and coat – meant she was there for more than just a drink.

The two-time women’s tag team champion says she was “pissed off” and “embarrassed” by the crude insinuation and had to leave the area, only to return shortly after.

The Canadian returned to the lobby to speak with management, but was encountered by three security guards who allegedly chased her away again.

Green was determined to speak with a manager, which she successfully did the third time, only to have the three security guards standing next to them laughing.

Green warned the hotel that she probably wouldn’t be a guest there next year.

“Life is funny! Maybe next year I won’t celebrate Wrestlemania weekend at the Plaza Hotel LOL…” his post on X concluded.

Green was back in public the following night to celebrate his birthday, which falls on April 4.

On Wednesday, she was photographed with her husband, wrestling star Matt Cardona, at Sylvester Stallone’s Victor Café in Philadelphia.

For her birthday party, Green opted for a long-sleeved shirt and gray Manchester United skirt.

Green’s wife, a Long Island native, poked fun at his wife’s plight.

“She looks a bit like an escort there.”

The two wrestlers began dating in 2017, got engaged in 2019, and officially tied the knot on New Year’s Eve 2021 in Las Vegas.
