WWE SmackDown July 26 Spoilers: #1 Contender’s Challenge for Tag Team Title

Next Friday, many SmackDown stars — and WWE’s production team — will already be in Japan for WWE’s first tour of the country since the pandemic. But the weekly show must go on, so Team Blue taped its July 26 episode at CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska, after last night’s live broadcast.

Here’s a look at what was filmed for the show, via PWInsider and WrestlingNews.co:

• An in-ring segment to advance Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill’s quest for a Women’s Tag Team Title led to a brawl with champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. Belair and Cargill were left standing by the end of the clash.

• LA Knight defeated Santos Escobar. Then, Logan Paul attacked Knight.

• Grayson Waller and Austin Theory had a segment with boxing champion and Omaha native Terence Crawford. After a promo exchange, Crawford knocked Theory out.

• Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton def. Bayley & Michin

• The Bloodline won the #1 Contenders Gauntlet match for the Tag Team Title. Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga entered last and eliminated Street Profits, who had defeated The OC, Pretty Deadly and Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin after Crews and Corbin defeated LDF to start.

One report also mentions an interview with Cody Rhodes, but that will likely be recorded later and added to the final version that will air next week.

Is it worth watching on Friday, July 26?
