WWE scrubs controversial Charlotte Flair-Tiffany Stratton Promo

Which was supposed to be a simple promo leading to their Wrestlemania 41 The match turned into something that WWE has apparently not signed.

During April 4 Smack down At Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton seemed to throw the script through the window. According to @wrestlevotes on X (formerly Twitter), the two “said very little about what was in the report for them” and “exceeded the script”.

Instead, they exchanged personal beards that crossed a proverbial line, which prompted WWE to delete the clip from its official X account shortly after.

In the stormy comings and goings, Stratton shot the multiple divorces of Flair, which prompted Flair to withdraw by claiming that the boyfriend of Stratton, his colleague struggle Ludwig Kaiser, had slipped into his DMS.

And just in case someone has missed the tension, the WWE youtube version of the segment has been modified to remove the most controversial and unscripted moments.

WWE can rub the clip, but the moment is already there. What was supposed to be a simple promotion transformed into something that fans will not forget any soon, and the quick response of WWE seems to indicate that society did not expect it to go so far.

That said, it will be interesting to see how WWE manages the benefits. Although a large part of the exchange could have been not scripted, it clearly let fans want more. And WWE cannot ignore this, even if it’s a little too personal.
