The Women’s Auxiliary of the Salvation Army organized his 59th annual lunch of women of dedication last month at the Marriott Marquis in San Diego.
The event honored 12 women for their philanthropy, volunteer service and their commitment to the community. The Peggy Matthews Legacy Prize was awarded to Judith Brucker for his years of dedication to the Salvation Army.
Over 700 people attended. Lunch was chaired by Vivian Tuck and her co -president by Inez Thomas and Naydalocke. The fees were Betty Brayshay, Joan Henkelmann, Fern Murphy and Pattie Wellborn.
The product of the event will finance the local Salvation Army programs that serve families and individuals who suffer from roaming and those who suffer from chemical dependence, and finance senior nutrition sites throughout the county.
Women of dedication are the collection of signing funds of the auxiliary of the women of the Salvation Army. Founded in the 1950s, the auxiliary supports the social services programs of the Salvation Army.
