Women warn alternative treatments could put their health at risk

Doctors and activists are warning women to be careful when it comes to choosing alternative treatments in online and social media advertisements.

Molly Fenton, founder of Love Your Period, advised women not to take anything unless it has been previously authorized by a healthcare professional.

“Make sure you look into it and do your research,” she added.

“Look online and find out the real science behind it, and if it’s not available, that’s probably a big red flag.”
