Two women who were arrested at the end of February for their alleged roles in the abuse of a small dog have now been accused of cruelty to animals, the Office of the District of the Costa District announced on Friday.
The two women – Lagashia shante Williams, 46, and Graciela Ammarged, 18 – are also responsible for shooting or showing a firearm in a threatening manner. Williams is also accused of having submitted a false report.
If he is found guilty, Williams and Amarged could be sentenced to a maximum of three years in the county prison and up to a fine of $ 20,000.
The accusations follow an investigation by the Pittsburg police on an incident on February 19, when Williams and Amarged have confronted a man in the aisle of his house on an incident involving an elderly neighbor who has accidentally run on a factory.
“During their conversation, which turned into an argument, Amarged headed for a vehicle, recovered what turned out to be an imitation firearm and presented it to Williams,” said a press release from the Costa Contra Prosecutor Office. “While the argument between the three individuals continued, Williams brandished the imitation weapon, which makes the owner back down”, “
The altercation was captured on video, which shows the owner withdrawing from the two women, picking up one of his two dogs as that.
However, it still left the other unprotected dog.
“As he walked away, Williams told Amarged to kick the other dog, which she did. The strength of the kick sent the animal in the air, in the air, landing several meters on the lawn of the owner’s property, ”continues the press release. “The owner picked up the injured animal, who cried and entered his house.
One of the women then called 911 and reported that the owner had a firearm, a complaint that was later deemed false.
The two women were then reserved in the detention installations of Martinez and West on February 27, the two released on bail in a few days.
