Woman’s head and other body parts found in bag near Delhi metro site

New Delhi:

A woman’s mutilated body was found in a plastic bag near a rapid transit construction site in Sarai Kale Khan, southeast Delhi.

Police received the information on Saturday afternoon and found parts of a woman’s body, including her skull, in a white plastic bag.

Police received reports of the discovery of body parts near Sarai Kale Khan’s ISBT, adjoining a flyover of a rapid transit construction site, around noon, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South- is) Rajesh Deo.

Police have sent the exhibits to the AIIMS trauma center and are trying to determine the identity of the victim.

The forensic team investigated where the parts were found. Police said a case had been registered and an investigation was underway.

Last year Delhi police arrested Aaftab Poonawala, 28, for allegedly murdering his partner and then dumping his body parts across the city.

Aaftab allegedly cut Shraddha Walkar’s body into 35 pieces and kept them in a 300-litre refrigerator for nearly three weeks at his residence in Mehrauli, South Delhi, before dumping them across the city for several days.
