Police investigate the death of a homeless woman as a possible homicide after her injured body was discovered near the ocean on Santa Monica beach, the authorities announced.
The beach maintenance personnel with the city reported the discovery of an insensitive person near the 1550 rescue tower in the beach 1500 block early Monday, according to the Santa Monica police department.
Police responded around 7 a.m. and found a victim in a sleeping bag with visible trauma on his face, police said. Santa Monica’s fire staff said dead on the scene.
The identity of the victim has not yet been determined; However, she would have been about 30 years old. The circumstances around his death remain under investigation, police said.
