A woman who took it upon herself to eat only fruit for 30 days has shared the effect it had on her body.
Shade Martin is a New Yorker who decided to undergo a unique diet after experiencing severe shoulder pain, which physiotherapy and medication did not help.
After reading that alkaline fruits, such as mangoes, berries and bananas, may have anti-inflammatory properties, the American decided to change her diet to consist exclusively of natural foods.

What changed after following a fruit-only diet?
Martin found that she had more energy than usual due to the slower release of natural sugars, and also found that she could think more clearly.
On top of that, she admitted that she lost 10 pounds (4.5 kg) and had almost no menstrual cramps.
It’s worth noting that she’s already vegan, having done many juice cleanses in the past, so other people may have different results.
But it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for Martin, as she admitted that she began coughing up large amounts of phlegm while only eating grapes, as she admitted, “It just kept coming out… It blew my mind.”
Additionally, she started going to the bathroom a lot more for number two, which was expected due to the high fiber levels, although this may have been a small price to pay as her skin also improved considerably. improved.
What was it like to experience these changes?
Speaking in a Q&A with health influencer Gillian Berry, she opened up about her lack of period cramps: “I had little to no pain. On a scale of one to ten, it ‘was a nobody.’
She also said her cycle was “extremely light” but was longer than usual.
As for her “extra glowy skin”, she said the detox allowed toxins to emerge from her skin, with pimples first appearing on her forehead before enjoying the result of nicer, nicer skin. .

What exactly did she eat?
After starting with watermelon and grapes, she enjoyed a plethora of fruits for the remaining two and a half weeks.
Martin usually started his day with lemon or lime water, followed by a large smoothie including bananas, blueberries, cherries and dates.
She also cut out set meals, instead snacking on pieces of fruit, although she said it was difficult to see her husband and daughter enjoying “normal” foods around her, needing to distract themselves from to want anything.
Martin also claimed that the low consumption of fruit is because people wrongly believe that it contains too much sugar.
“We need fruits, fruits should not be limited in our diet,” she stressed.
“There’s a misconception that it’s the cause of all these health problems and diabetes, but we don’t want to bring up unhealthy fats.”
She insisted we need to cut “refined sugars” from our diet and that fruit is essential for “brain power” as well as “body energy and strength”.
