A woman was allegedly hit by her boyfriend in his car and her ex-boyfriend was shot in the collarbone in the Ocean Beach Pier parking lot Wednesday evening, San Diego police said.
Around 9 p.m., the couple argued and the ex-boyfriend attempted mediation, Officer John Buttle said.
“The man got into his girlfriend’s car, put it in reverse and ran over his girlfriend,” Buttle said. “Shortly after, two gunshots were heard.”
The ex-boyfriend drove to Bacon Street and Brighton Avenue, where police were notified of a gunshot victim, the trooper said. The man suffered a gunshot wound to the collarbone and two bullet holes were found in the car.
The police intervened at both locations. No weapons were located.
Both victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
