Central Florida MPs save 73-year-old woman from wrecked car

Body camera video shows the dramatic rescue of a 73-year-old woman who crashed her vehicle in a retention pond on Saturday night in Volusia County. The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said this had happened in the DeLand area. The video shows the first deputy on stage, Nicholas Maletto, entering the water and joined shortly after by deputy Patrick O’Melia. Together, the deputies removed the 73-year-old driver from the sinking vehicle and brought her to the ground.

Together, MPs removed the 73-year-old driver from the sinking vehicle and brought her to the ground.

The deputies said the woman was fine.
