A 20 -year -old gymnasium was left to fight for her life after consuming a popular energy drink, then she came into cardiac arrest during her training.
Jazmin Garza finished her lifts of weighted earth alongside her boyfriend, Isaac Ayala, when she started to feel dizzy and dizzy at the end of November.
She had just drunk a third of the ghost box, a caffeinated energy drink, and sat down to stabilize when she collapsed on the ground and began to have a crisis.
Isaac rushed to discover that Jazmin’s heart had stopped beating and she no longer breathes.
He started to carry out the RCR before the arrival of paramedical paramedics and shocked his heart to restart it.
Jazmin, who lives in Texas but was in Iowa at the time, was informed that she had been stopped cardiac several times – and at one point, his heart stopped for five minutes.
Each time, oxygen has been cut off from its brain and organs. Her kidneys, her lungs and hearts have been extremely damaged and was put to life to help her recovery.
The doctors told Jazmin’s family “that she was going to need a miracle to come back to us – and be the same Jazmin as we know”.

Jazmin said: “We were at the gymnasium and were in the middle of a training by lifting a earth to a single leg when all of a sudden I did not feel well.
“I do not drink caffeinated drinks at all. I had not been to the gymnasium for a while and I wanted to have a very good training, so I had a third of energy drink. I hadn’t had this type of energy drink before.
“After working, I sat down and I really didn’t feel well. I felt dizzy. Isaac said I looked really pale.
“Then, Isaac then told me that I started to have a crisis. I had never had before. I had no idea what happened to me.
Jazmin entered cardiac arrest four times while paramedical paramedics worked to restart his heart before being placed on a hospital survival machine.
Jazmin said: “I was very panicked while waking up in the hospital and telling myself that my heart had stopped.”
Isaac wrote on a gofundme for Jazmin that it was put on “ three different life supports ”, including the ECMO, a machine that helps oxygenate blood, dialysis to eliminate waste from its kidneys and A machine to control its oxygen levels.
She has undergone several procedures, he added, but did not say those, although the doctors have placed an implantable defibrillator in her chest-a device that monitors an irregular heart rate-for, hope it, prevent it cases similar to the future.
When the device detects irregularities, it sends electrical pulses to the heart to correct the heart rate.
Doctors also made a test dam but found no cause for his heart arrests.

After two weeks in the hospital, Jazmin completely recovered and was sent home.
She said, “Every day I started to improve. They would do a lot of tests on my heart and all the tests went well.
“They could not see any problem with my heart or why it happened or what could have caused him.
“I had no previous problems or a family history of heart issues. Doctors still don’t know why it happened.
She thinks that the energy drink, in collaboration with an unknown heart disease, may have caused the medical episode.
Jazmin said, “Our best supposition is that I have always had that, but I have never paid out of mind. When I had palpitations in the past, I thought it was anxiety or something.
“I have never been to a doctor before. I don’t think the energy drink was the main cause. I think it was a contributory factor so that everything is wrong.
“I will certainly stay away from energy drinks now. You never really hear about a 20 year old child entering a cardiac arrest, it simply does not happen.
Jazmin blamed an unmatched heart disease and consume the energy drink for his imminent death experience
It is not known if the Ghost drink contributed to its health episode in any way, and Isaac wrote that they do not know if this is what caused “cardiac arrest.
Ghost is a popular energy drink which contains 200 mg of caffeine, a little more than double the quantity in two cups of coffee. It is available in a variety of sweet and embittered flavors.
The drink also claims to contain vitamins, carnitine carnipide – a substance that helps the body convert fat to energy – neurofctor – a mixture of nutrients supposed to improve brain function – and the 50% alpha -gpc – a supplement supposed to help Sports performance.
It is announced as “intended for people aged 18 or over.
Although energy drinks can help you get out of the middle of the morning crisis, they are not without risk and drinking too much is at risk of stopping heart, depression, colon cancer and insomnia.
In people with heart disease, drinks can disrupt the rhythm of the heart and lead to an abnormal heartbeat, which could both degenerate in cardiac arrest.
In addition, a British data analysis of 1.2 million people found that young people who consumed energy drinks were more likely to have poor mental health and suffer from anxiety and depression.
Jazmin has undergone several tests and a procedure to insert a defibrillator in his chest
Some experts suspect that drinking too many energy drinks can increase your risk of colon cancer due to the high levels of sugar and taurine drinks – an amino acid that works like a neurotransmitter in the brain.
Finally, drinks can disrupt sleep due to their high caffeine rates.
Dailymail.com contacted Ghost but did not receive an answer.
During her recovery, Isaac wrote: “She had an army of prayers for her, and I know that most of you prayed, and we are so grateful and blessed for everyone.
“Thank goodness, she has now overcome all this, and I know that God will continue to give him the strength to finish this miraculous recovery.”
However, the couple says they are now “overwhelmed by medical invoices” and have both lost their jobs because of the time they needed to take off for the incident.
They collect funds via a gofundme to “try to repay these medical invoices and return home to Texas to see our family”.
But now, after surviving the experience of imminent death, Jazmin said that she had a renewed prospect on life.

She said, “Everything happened at the ideal moment for things to be perfectly mistaken.
“I feel like I had a second chance to live now. I want to do even better now.
“If it had happened later in life or if I was alone, I may not have succeeded. Everything turned out to be badly.
“Doctors could not believe how I had survived, they said it was a miracle. I was very close to death at some point. I feel so grateful to be alive.
Jazmin added, “I would tell people to listen to your body. Have the concerns checked because you could avoid something so big later on the line.
