Wolves VS Warriors final score: Minnesota Take Series in mind

The Minnesota Timberwolves have both an opportunity and a challenge in front of them. On the one hand, the Golden State Warriors are without superstar Stephen Curry, making it a team considerably worse. On the other hand, with rumors that came out that Curry could potentially return by the sixth game, Golden State clings to this accidental conviction that if they can simply last long enough, their hero will arrive in time to save them.

After a first unilateral match for the Warriors and a favorite in the second game, the third match was sure to be vital to establish this series. For Minnesota to avoid curry, they should fill four consecutive victories after a superb defeat of the match.

After being cleared, the Warriors moved the failures, inserting Trayce Jackson-Davis in the starting range. The second year center offered Rudy Gobert troubles in short push, and Golden State hunted anything to give them an advantage.

After the tip, the first half started well. The Wolves have accumulated two -digit victories per piece per piece twice, but they abandoned them to races extended by the Warriors, where Minnesota was completely unable to score.

It is a trend that continued throughout the playoffs. As good as wolves are, they are not immune to a poorly timed shot crisis or an embarrassing lack of effort.

Thus, while the second half slipped, the Warriors had a two-point lead despite having missed each of their 3 points. When the Brandin Podziemski and Buddy Hield rear area quickly made a three each, and the Warriors extended their lead to the noisy cheers of the crowd of the Chase Center, it seemed that the third match could be finished.

And yet the wolves remained. A team that was supported by Julius Randle and Naz Reid in the first half made his own waiting match when they planned a man certainly hampered.

This man was Anthony Edwards.

And he finally appeared.

After starting 0/9 out of three, with less than ten points before the break, Ant ended the match with 36 points. Although the second half of 28 Anti was certainly the decisive factor, this was in no way the only one. Julius Randle had an absolute masterclass and a triple-double.

It is a team that has been galvanized and continues to survive terrible performance from top to the list. When Ant fought, it was Randle and Naz loading. When Donte Divincenzo and Nickeil Alexander-Walker continued to collapse under the brightest lights, the regular game of Jaden McDaniels controlled the wings.

While the Warriors have obtained excellent performance by Jimmy Butler and Jonathan Kuminga recently returned, Draymond Green dirty with two points.

It is easy to consider Green’s performance as zero abject, but it is only during her big problem that Anthony Edwards could begin. Warriors fans will blame the third fault on Draymond, who seemed to be a charge on Julius Randle, but the honest truth is as follows: Draymond Green had at least Five faults. As important as this singular fault is, you cannot act as if Green was not always going to be in difficulty.

All that said, let’s move into some details of the victory of the third victory of the match inducing the Wolves adrenaline.

Kuminga continues his next contract

Jonathan Kuminga had an incredible match after being banished in the shadow kingdom to finish the season. While the former G-League goalkeeper was replaced by Quinten Post, there would always be a need for shooting when Curry fell with an injury.

It was easy to expect him to have a look, despite the problems he showed as a coherent rotation player. There were constant errors on the defense, the disappearance of efforts and a general insistence to what he was the best player on the field.

It was until tonight. Surprisingly, Kuminga’s shooting was not the best of his game tonight. Instead, his defense on the balloon stood out. This version of Kuminga, a super athlete bought, is worth the contract that the future free agent has coveted. It could win a few million additional dollars over the next two weeks.

It may be time to hit the panic button

It is not hyperbolic to say that Donte Divinzo was bad in the playoffs. While last year’s race with New York Knicks had people wondering if he had the best league contract, this year’s qualifying series saw the main use of Donte as lure.

Even to exclude two -point speaks tonight, through seven playoffs, Donte takes 30% on the field and an atrocious of 21.7% deeply. For a 3 -point specialist who earns his life as a out -of -ball mover with a fast version of Lightning, which is certainly far from ideal.

While the Focus Next player may have lost even more money, Divincenzo’s inability to be even an average player has often appeared. We are going to arrive at the slogan “eight runners” often used that coach Chris Finch echoes, but the 16 minutes of donation felt completely devoid of impact.

It’s sad to hear for a player who was to be so massive for Minnesota before the season.

Check free agents to be

If you think you are in pain, imagine how Nickeil Alexander-Walker is currently doing. After a third consecutive year to be the perfect complementary player, Naw entered the playoffs as the face of reliability. What he has been since is anything but.

Nickeil only deals slightly better than donated without the flexibility of the Italian contract. Although the teams certainly do not change their opinions on players after a few weeks of basketball in the playoffs, his fall will certainly cost him a little.

None of us still wants to think of the dead, but Minnesota will have to worry about three of their rotation players who were going in a free agency. Julius Randle, Naz Reid and Nickeil are all free agents at the end of the year. Randle has been huge and will probably be back. Naz is the most liked player of a Wolves basketball generation.

This leaves Naw outside looking.

Unfortunately, he is who stay very easy for wolves.

The myth of “eight runners”

Have you heard the saying “A Hellcat looks really good until a Lambo stops?” Well, Minnesota may have just realized that in their rotation. Affirm that your whole rotation could be starters on most teams sounds good until these supposed starter level players have trouble being ahead of the figures at the reserve level.

We talked about Nickeil and Donte, but it was really exposed in these qualifying series how precious the depth is, but simultaneously how easy it is to overestimate the depth you have.

The Cleveland riders look in real time while Ty Jerome turns into a pumpkin. The Warriors say that Podziemski evaporates in place of Steph Curry. These ideas of depth are so precious that rotations are shortened, and these 12 to 15 additional minutes simply must remain afloat.

Unfortunately for Minnesota, they have five beginners players, and none of them are guards. Perhaps this is putting in place Rob Dillingham for a more important role next season after a recruited season in purgatory, but in the here and now, that leaves questions to which Donte Divincenzo, Mike Conley Jr and Nickeil Alexander-Walker did not answer.

The next

The Timberwolves will be back in action on Monday evening for a second match in the Bay region will require better performance to build the infamous 3-1 advance which would prevent Steph Curry from returning in time. After the dog fight tonight, the fourth game is sure to be even more messy and even grindalier.

The game will start at 9 p.m. CT, broadcast on ESPN.
