Minneapolis – Kyle Kuzma scored a 31 -point summit and Washington Wizards beat Minnesota Timberwolves in the short term 105-103 on Saturday evening to end a sequence of 16 consecutive defeats.
Jordan Poole scored 19 points, Bilal Coulibaly had 14 and Jonas Valancunas added 13 points and 10 rebounds to help Washington win for the seventh time this season.
It was only the second victory of the Wizards season because they ended a sequence of 21 games on the road without victory that was tied with the Cleveland (26) and Washington (25) horsemen for the most part In a season since 2010-11.
The sequence of 16 consecutive defeats was tied at the longest in the history of the wizards.
Washington, who led by seven with less than four minutes to play, returned the ball with 11 seconds on the left clinging to a two -point lead. But a 3-point test by Nickeil Alexander-Walker from Minnesota rhymed with three seconds. Corey Kispert caught the rebound and the Wizards ended a 21 -game slide.
Jaden McDaniels led Minnesota with 23 points and 12 rebounds – his first career match with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds. Rudy Gobert collected 16 points and 16 rebounds, but the sequence of five consecutive victories in Minnesota ended.
Minnesota played without two runners. All-Star Anthony Edwards sat with an illness and Julius Randle missed his first game with a groin injury, which coach Chris Finch said he would keep him “more than a few days”.
