Wiz Khalifa was reportedly arrested in Romania over the weekend after consuming marijuana at a music festival.
Khalifa performed at the Beach Please! festival in Romania on Saturday. Footage of the rapper’s performance shared on social media shows him smoking on stage.
A law enforcement press release later confirmed that an individual had been charged with “unlawful possession of high-risk drugs” after attending a music festival with cannabis.
“It was found that during a recital given at a music festival that took place in the seaside resort of Costinești, in the county of Constanta, he was in possession of more than 18 grams of cannabis (a high-risk drug) and had consumed (on stage) another quantity of cannabis in the form of a homemade cigarette,” the Organized Crime and Terrorism Investigation Directorate said in the translated statement.

Footage of Khalifa’s performance at the festival also included a clip of the “Black and Yellow” presenter appearing to be escorted away by police afterwards.
USA TODAY has reached out to Khalifa’s representatives for comment.

In a message posted to X on Sunday, Khalifa appears to allude to his arrest at the Beach Please! festival.
“Last night’s show was amazing. I didn’t mean to disrespect Romania by going on stage,” Khalifa wrote. “They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But no big joint next time.”

The Grammy-nominated rapper is next scheduled to perform at Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub in Las Vegas on August 30, according to Khalifa’s official website.
