The 78th Tony Awards are there, and it’s a tight race in several categories.
“Buena Vista Social Club”, “Death becomes her” and “perhaps a happy ending”, all the musicals lead with 10 appointments each. “Dead Outlaw”, “John Proctor is the villain”, “Sunset boulevard” and “The Hills of California” are near, with seven each.
The ceremony, hosted by Cynthia Erivostarted at 8 p.m. at the radio City Music Hall and is broadcast on CBS and available to broadcast on Paramount +. Several prizes were announced during a pre -hobby ceremony, organized by Renée Elise Goldsberry and Darren Criss, who is nominated this year for the best actor of a musical.
Expect a night of energetic performance, including “gypsy”, “mincemeat operation”, “sunset boulevard” and “buena vista social club” – as well as a live number of “Hamilton”.
