Winners, losers in the Coca-Cola race 600 Nascar Cup won by Ross Chastain

Concord, NC – A look at the winners and losers of Coca -Cola 600 Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Winners

Ross Chastain – He followed William Byron in the last laps before passing him for the victory with six laps to mark his first victory for the jewel of the Crown. The victory occurred after destroying training the day before and went to a rescue car, forcing him to start in the back of the field.

Nascar: Coca-Cola 600

The winning pass is delivered with five laps removing in Nascar’s longest race.

Trackhouse race – The team won their first victory of the year in the midst of difficult circumstances. Ross Chastain’s wreck in training on Saturday forced the team to go to a rescue car. With the shop near the track, the team returned there and converted what was to be the rescue car for this weekend race in Nashville by Coca-Cola 600 car. The crew members worked until 2:30 am and returned at 5:30 am, they did not finish before 12:30 p.m. when the car was put in the carrier and sent to Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Chase Briscoe – His third place is his best of the season.

Brad Keselowski – His fifth place was his first top 10 of the season. Although this is an achievement for the team, Keselowski focuses on more, saying after the race: “I want to win.”

Michael McDowell – His seventh place was his first top 10 of the year and his best career result in Charlotte.

Losers

Denny Hamlin – His chances of winning ended when he had to get started with 12 laps to do because he was not missing fuel. He finished 16th.

Kyle Larson – He participated in Indianapolis 500 and Coca-Cola 600, but he did not finish either because of accidents.

Crashes ended Kyle Larson’s races in Indianapolis and Charlotte.

Bubba Wallace – He finished 35th, marking the third consecutive points race that he placed 33rd or worse. Wallace fell from the seventh points to the 12th in the season’s ranking during this trunction.
