Winners and losers from the Male Four 2025 Final

At the start of the final opening of the four between the champions of the regular season and the dry conference tournament, it seemed that history was going to be the inability of Florida to contain the interior attack of Auburn.

By building its advantage from 46-38 to half-time, Auburn was +12 on points in painting and even +1 on the glass against a Gators team which owned the battle of rebound almost the whole season. Johni Broome’s injured elbow looked very well, because he went to work every time Florida left Alex Condon on an island against him.

But while Broome disappeared in the second half, scoring his last points with more than 15 minutes to play, it is a punch of the Florida Un-deux who took the match on the way to a 79-73 victory.

Walter Clayton Jr. experienced a legendary performance, finishing with 34 points. He alone prevented Auburn from fleeing with the match, marking 18 of the 31 points in Florida during a 15-minute section that lasted half-time. He went 11 for 18 on the field, and it seemed that the only times he had missed shots was on records where fans of the Gators of the Alamodome categorically cried for a fault.

But it was Alijah Martin who brought thunder with his two dunks with fast rupture in the second period. The first “Pick-Two” gave the Florida an advance of 59-57, but it was the second which was even more emphatic and which felt like a back-backer that the tigers never restored.

Martin scored only half of more points (17) than Clayton, but there were seriously noisy points in the mixture there.

This dynamic duo combined for 27 points in the second half, equaling the total of Auburn after the intermission.
