The New England Patriots added seven players – four in defense, an offensive tackle and two specialists – Day 3 of the NFL recovery on Saturday
Here is the choice has an impact for better, or worse, to move forward.
Winners
DC Terrell Williams: After watching his team add four attacking players to start the draft, Williams finally obtained some additions to his unit with four defensive players selected on day 3. Two of them – Joshua Farmer and Bradyn Swinson – present themselves along the defensive line which is Williams’ specialty. The two are tool passwood rushers that have a lot of space to continue to grow under the Williams watch.
UDFA class: The Patriots quickly worked on their UDFA course after the project. The initial yields seem extremely promising and it would not be stretched to include one or two UDFAS on a list of 53 men. From this point of view, the East Chism in eastern Washington is the favorite, because its skills and road operating capacity is the prototype of a Josh McDaniel slot receiver.
Elsewhere, the Lan Larison ball carrier is a double intriguing backward that dominated the Big Sky conference. A pair of tight ends has also been added to Gee Scott Jr. of Ohio State, an old high -level wide receiver recruitment which has unexploited potential as a passenger sensor, and CJ DIPRE DE L’ALABAMA, a strong blocker with a good athletic profile. The two could put pressure for Te3 tasks behind Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper.
Eliot Wolf and Mike Trebel: Looking at how the new dynamic took place in the Patriots’ front office was a notable note in their first project together. Despite the transport of promising players, the working relationship between the new additions of Vrabel and Wolf as well as the selected from previous years seemed to happen.
“I just think that the team’s vision was really good,” said Wolf. “There was a lot of clear communication between (Mike) Truebel and our staff. He was much there in our meetings. It was just a very good process … Ryan Cowden and Coach Trebel and Stretch (John Streicher) really entered and helped me organize this. I think we are going to have a productive group. ”
Losers
LS Joe Cardona: In a surprising final addition, the patriots wrote what they considered as high-snack along, Julian Ashby, in the draft. The Athletic Ashby seems now ready to participate in a 33 -year -old Cardona training camp competition, which could be the next captain of the Patriots to leave the city.
“Julian Ashby was a player we loved. We felt like we were the best long-lived living room,” said the vice-president of the Eliot Wolf players. “Thanks to some of the conversations we had, we felt that he might not be someone who would be available after the cog.
K John Parker Romo: In a mold similar to Cardona – although it was not a surprise – Parker Romo is now entering their own competition this summer. The Patriots used their only selection of sixth round on the first botter Andres Borregales, which should be considered the favorite to win the position at this stage. Parker Romo, who made 11 attempts out of 12 in four games with the Vikings last season, will need a strong summer to swing the tides.
Te Jaheim Bell: Bell was about to appear on the list of winners after New England made seven laps without writing a tight end, but the tightly intriguing end-up additions aforementioned in a non-drained free agency now create a difficult competition for Bell this summer.
Honorable mention
A wide receiver: The large receptor room of patriots has far too many bodies. With three UDFA additions, the current depth board is at 13. Even if Stefon Diggs is not ready to start the season, this number will be radically reduced. The choice of third round, Kyle Williams, should be considered a lock while EFTON CHISM has the skills necessary to grow a strong list under Josh McDaniels.
It will put Kendrick Bourne, Kayshon Boutte, Ja’lynn Polk and Javon Baker fighting for what could be one place. A serious Chism push, on which the team is high, could lead to all these four outside.
