Wilmerhale, one of the proclaimed law firms in Donald Trump’s campaign against the legal establishment of white kits, said on Tuesday that a government agency suspended security authorizations for two of its lawyers.
Paul Clement, a well -known lawyer representative Wilmerhale, said in a file that the two lawyers had received letters on May 9. The agency, which was not appointed, has drawn security authorizations due to Trump’s decree against the firm, according to the file.
“This development stresses that the executive power is ready and willing to implement the decree in the absence of judicial intervention,” said the file.
Judge Richard Leon, who supervises the dispute, previously asked the government not to apply certain parts of the decree, including those related to Wilmerhale’s work for government entrepreneurs and the prohibition of business access to government buildings. But it allowed an examination of the security authorizations for Wilmerhale employees to move forward.
The legal precedent maintains that “security authorization decisions are within the reach of the executive power,” wrote the judge at the end of March.
In his Tuesday depot, Clement asked the judge to stop and to retreat the examination of the security authorization. He also proposed to deposit the two letters of suspension under Seal.
Wilmerhale is one of the four companies that have decided to combat decrees before the courts.
