SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Country music icon Willie Nelson will not perform with the Outlaw Tour in Syracuse on Friday night, June 28.

A statement said: “Willie Nelson has been cleared by his doctors to return to the road. He will resume performing on the Outlaw Tour next week. Willie will not be present for this weekend’s dates. »

Nelson was originally scheduled to headline Friday’s Outlaw Music Festival at the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater in Lakeview, but was unable to perform on the tour due to health issues that began last week .

Lukas Nelson and his family will perform in Willie’s place, the statement said.

Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and Celisse will all appear as scheduled.
