Widespread severe storms will threaten the Mid-South Wednesday evening

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Weather around the Mid-South could turn severe Wednesday evening.

After a few morning thunderstorms Wednesday before sunrise, it will be another hot, humid and windy day.

After sunset, storms will slowly arrive. They will generally be between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. from northwest to southeast.

The biggest risk with these storms will be large hail and damaging winds, but a tornado or two will also be possible.

This is likely the most significant severe weather threat we have seen so far this spring. It is therefore important to review your action plan with your family.
