February 10: Learjet de Vince Neil involved in the deadly collision
A person was killed when a 35a learjet belonging to Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil collided with a parked plane (later identified as a Gulfstream G-200) when he turned from the track while trying to land at Scottsdale airport in Arizona at 2:39 p.m. local time, according to a statement from the lawyer based in Nashville in Nashville, World Robinson IV.
Neil was not on board at the time.
His lawyer described him as a “rapidly evolving situation” under “undergoing survey”, adding, “the thoughts and prayers of Mr. Neil go to all those involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all the first stakeholders who help today.”
There were four on board the Learjet and the FAA later confirmed that the pilot had died, while the co -pilot and a passenger had been seriously injured.
According to WMTV 15 News, a preliminary report published on March 3 by the NTSB said that the video surveillance and mobile phone sequences were showing the left landing train in a “ASKEW” position as Scottsdale approaches the track.
The report also noted that the same driving team had reported an landing in McALESTER, OKLA., June 20, 2024.
The pilot hired a mechanic who did the maintenance, the detailed report and additional maintenance was carried out on the plane in December. A mechanic who maintained the landing gear noted that “nothing seemed unusual,” said the report, but the left landing gear “took an excessive amount of fat”.
