Gulmarg: The second stage of the 5th KHELO India winter games, which should start here on Saturday, has been postponed due to insufficient snowfall in the region.
The new dates of the event will be announced once the time will improve and that a new assessment will be completed.
“The Jammu-et-Cachemire leg of the Khelo India winter games has been postponed,” a source of sports ministry said in PTI.
Gulmarg had to organize snow events, including alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, ski mountaineering and snowboarding.
Leh hosted the first phase of the matches in which ICE (hockey and skating) events took place from January 23 to 27.
