Australian F1 star Jack Doohan has endured a test season with Alpine who led to her possible ax this week – and now it can be revealed that the 22 -year -old feared for his safety during the recent Miami Grand Prix.
So much so, the son of the world champion of Moto GP with Quintuple Mick Doohan hired 24/7 security in the United States – and planned to do the same in the next Grand Prix in Brazil.
The reason reported is the fanatical supporters of Franco Colapinto, the Argentinian who replaced Doohan after only six races.
The first F1 photographer Kym Illman confirmed why Doohan was naturally shaken.
“He received all kinds of online threats … so much so that he had 24 -hour security in Miami and planned to ensure this security for the Brazilian Grand Prix,” Illman posted on Instagram.
“Of all the pilots, it is really only Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri who have full -time security.

“It was clear to see by those who are close to the Australian that these threats weighed him heavily.
“ People had discovered his personal email address and sent threats by e-mail who led to Jack, his girlfriend and even his father concerning their safety in Miami and in addition to that, Jack’s sleep was affected.
“I am sure that Franco would not approve of this behavior of what is a minority of his fans base.”
Doohan dates from his Australian compatriot Ebony Zippora Gold, with the couple known for having kept their private relationship.
This is Alpine’s decision to drop Doohan and install Colari alongside Pierre Gasly frustrated Mick Doohan.
He published an Instagram story where a graph compared the results of his boy to Frenchman Gasly.
Doohan was trying to emphasize how bad the Alpine car was this season – but statistics have in fact shown that gas had obtained higher results.
After his ax, Doohan published a statement declaring that he was disappointed, but aims to “continue to hunt personal objectives”.

“We have long -term goals as a team to be achieved and I will continue to give my maximum efforts in any way possible to help.
“For the moment, I’m going to keep my head down, continue working hard, look at the next five races and continue to pursue my own personal goals.”
