The bride knows best.
Following the news that Aurora Culpo is dating Paul Bernon, Olivia Culpo opened up about why she didn’t let her sister bring her new boyfriend to her wedding to Christian McCaffrey on Saturday.
On Wednesday’s episode of the “Barely Filtered” podcast, recorded ahead of the Rhode Island wedding, Olivia, 32, clarified that her brother’s partner was “not invited.”
Aurora, 35, called the decision “rude,” while Olivia retorted: “No, it’s rude to invite someone I’ve never met.”
When Aurora rephrased the question to ask if her “friend” could come with her, Olivia belittled him by calling him “flavor of the month.”
“I’m not interested,” the former pageant queen said before addressing Aurora’s suitor directly.
“Sorry, that’s not a reflection of you,” she clarified. “That’s a reflection of my sister.”
Although the “Culpo Sisters” stars didn’t name Bernon specifically while taping the podcast, Us Weekly reported in June that Aurora was dating Bethenny Frankel’s ex-fiancé — and had been for two months.
“His family has met him and thinks he’s a really nice, ‘normal’ guy,” the outlet said. “They have a lot in common, with him being from Boston and Aurora being from a neighboring area.”
The outlet claimed at the time that Bernon would attend Olivia and McCaffrey’s ceremony.
However, Aurora told listeners Wednesday that her partner was only invited to spend time with the Culpo family the day before the rehearsal dinner.
Aurora married in 2019, welcoming son Remi, 5, and daughter Solei, 3, with husband Mikey Bortone before their divorce in 2022.
Bernon, for his part, got engaged to Frankel, 53, in 2021, after his split from the former “Real Housewives of New York City” actress made headlines in March.
As for Olivia, she and McCaffrey, 28, became a couple in 2019.
The athlete got down on one knee four years later, and Olivia stunned in a Dolce & Gabbana gown as the couple tied the knot over the weekend.
“I didn’t want the look to have any sexual connotation,” the former Miss Universe 2012 told Vogue. “I wanted it to be natural and compliment me, not overpower me.”
McCaffrey responded to an influencer who criticized the understated dress and claimed it had “no personality” via Instagram on Tuesday.
“What a bad thing to post online,” the NFL player responded in an Instagram comment. “I hope you can find joy and peace in the world like my beautiful wife does.”
