Why Kate Middleton is stepping back from public view after Wimbledon

Kate Middleton withdraws into her shell.

A source told us she will not be attending any public events for the rest of the summer following her appearance at Wimbledon last weekend.

Wimbledon, which was his second public appearance of 2024, will be his last engagement of the season, according to the insider.

Robert Jobson, author of the forthcoming book “Catherine, Princess of Wales: A Biography of the Future Queen,” told People magazine Thursday that the future queen “used to live her life by the calendar” but “now she lives her life, and the calendar comes after.”

“She will come back, but when you have lived an experience like that, it changes your perspective and the order of things,” he added.

After Middleton announced her cancer diagnosis in March, she stepped away from the public eye to focus on her treatment and recovery.

However, on June 14, the 42-year-old wrote in a letter that she was “making good progress” but had “good days and bad days” during her chemotherapy.

The following day, she attended the Trooping the Colour parade alongside her husband, Prince William, and their three children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

Middleton was also all smiles on July 14 at the men’s tennis championships with her daughter on Sunday.

She appeared in good spirits during the outing as she waved to the crowd before the men’s singles final and stood in the crowd to applaud.

The mother-of-three looked stunning in a lilac Safiyaa London Cecilia dress, while Charlotte wore a navy and white polka dot dress and white ballet flats.

Middleton chose to wear the purple dress to honor the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC), of which she is royal patron.

The AELTC’s hues are ‘Wimbledon purple’ and a dark shade of green called ‘Wimbledon green’.

The princess’s special bow tie was also in the club’s colours.
