Apple has issued an urgent warning to iPhone users, so if you are one of the 1.8 billion people worldwide who has one of the smartphones, you may want to listen to.
There is a false common idea that iphones are “immune” against things like malicious software, but that is simply not the case.
Apple Recently identified a significant security gap which could potentially allow hackers to embark on the personal data of iPhone users, including photos, messages and application information.
The risk of security comes from two common vulnerabilities and exhibitions (CVE) – The weak points of the iPhone software – which can cause problems if someone opens a specially designed image or video.

When an iPhone treats an image or video, it expects the file to follow certain rules. However, a hacker can create a file that breaks these rules and informs the iPhone by making a mistake.
Apple explained that these “mischievously manufactured” files could make an application accident unexpectedly, spoil the phone memory and offer an entry point for pirates To access our data.
Secure data storage said The mirror: “If someone sends you an apparently innocent image and your phone has not been updated, it could wreak havoc or give intruders to your private file.”
Fortunately, there is a fairly simple way to prevent it from happening.

Apple now urges all iPhone users to install their last security upgrade, iOS 18.5, which includes a correction of the critical security problem.
Released on May 12, the update is available for anyone with an iPhone XS model or subsequent version and blocks the pirate entry point by adding better checks to prevent harmful files from causing user problems.
According to the technology Giant, it deals with a vulnerability which implies the “processing of a maliciously artisanal image (which) can lead to an end of the unexpected application or to a memory of corrupt processes”.
Now, all that the company has to do is ensure that we will all install it.

“Apple acted quickly, but users must also act. Updating your device is one of the most important things you can do to protect your private information,” said the SAFE data storage representative.
“Tell your parents, your grandparents, your neighbor – anyone with an iPhone. These updates are no longer optional – they are your first line of defense.
“The longer someone delays the update, the more he leaves this door open.
“And many people – especially grandparents or less informed in technology – do not realize how important these updates are.”
