Wilmington High School once again hosted the annual Clinton County Fair on Thursday. More than 60 colleges from nine states participated, along with representatives from the U.S. Navy and the Ohio National Guard.

Throughout the week, WHS students participated in college-related activities, including pairing teachers with the college they went to and learning college admissions vocabulary .

“We are always thrilled with these opportunities for our students,” said Sam Woodruff. “Whenever we can present our students with connections to their future, we jump at the chance. The next step is to extend the learning from the college fair and link it to the classroom.

For the Wilmington, Clinton-Massie, and Laurel Oaks students who attended, the opportunity to connect face-to-face with admissions representatives was (refreshing).

“All the admissions reps were really nice and knowledgeable,” said WHS senior Dani Brannon.

The Clinton County College Fair is an event sponsored by the Ohio Association for College Admissions Counseling and held in partnership between Wilmington High School and Southern State Community College.
