Who’s Performing in Chicago Wednesday and What Time Concerts Start: NPR

NPR will be broadcasting live reports from Chicago throughout the week, bringing you the latest news on the Democratic National Convention.

Tim Walz will have his moment of glory Wednesday night in Chicago. The Minnesota governor will accept the Democratic Party’s nomination for vice president.

His speech will follow two days of celebrations at the Democratic National Convention, including Statements by Former President Barack Obama and Former First Lady Michelle Obama On Tuesday night, they warned against any complacency in this election.

The DNC’s main programming is scheduled to run from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET (5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. CT). Here’s more information on how to watch and follow updates.

We’ll update this page when the full schedule is released, but here are some highlights to watch for on Wednesday night:

  • Senator Cory Booker from New Jersey, former presidential candidate
  • Senator Amy Klobuchar from Minnesota, who has a close relationship with Walz
  • Former Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan, one of the many republicans speaking out throughout the week in support of Harris
  • Former Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi of California, which has fueled momentum to replace President Biden with Vice President Harris on the ticket
  • Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigiegwho also ran in the 2020 presidential election and was considered to be Harris’ running mate
  • Former President Bill Clinton. Hillary Clinton spoke on Monday on past and future efforts to break the glass ceiling.
  • Musical artists include John Legend And Stevie Wonder.
  • Oprah Winfrey will make a surprise appearance.

Thursday is the final night of the convention, culminating with Harris accepting the presidential nomination.
