Former LSU recipient, Kyren Lacy, died at the age of 24 in an apparent suicide in his car while he was prosecuted by the authorities in Houston, according to a report by Harrison County Sheriff published on Sunday.
Lacy was already faced with criminal charges resulting from a fatal car accident in Louisiana last December which had darkened its NFL prospects.
The Harris county authorities say that their lacy prosecution late Saturday evening ended when Lacy crashed. When the police approached the vehicle to extract Lacy, they say he died in apparent suicide, according to the report.
Lacy was declared dead on the scene by emergency speakers.
“We are saddened to learn the tragic death of the former student-athlete-athlete of LSU football, Kyren Lacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and relatives, as well as his former teammates and coaches affected by his death,” said LSU in a statement.

Originally from Thibodaux, in Louisiana, Lacy has had a promising football career. During the 2024 college season, he led LSU with nine affected and finished second in the team in the two receptions (58) and the reception yards (866).
