Who is playing “Thursday Night Football” tonight? NFL Time, TV Channel, Week 6 Schedule

Few teams play Thursday night twice in a season. However, some scheduling quirks, including Thanksgiving games and the season opener, allow the NFL to schedule rehearsals on Thursdays.

We’ll see one of those repeats in Week 6 of the 2021 NFL Season. The Thursday Night Football game will once again feature the defending Super Bowl champions against an NFC East team.

In Week 1, the Buccaneers faced the Cowboys at home in Tampa Bay. This time, they will be the road team. They will travel to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia to face the Eagles.

Tom Brady will make his 305th regular season start on Thursday. His opponent, Jalen Hurts, will only make his 10th start in the general classification. Needless to say, the Bucs will have an advantage in the experience category.

Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about Thursday night’s game, as well as everything you need to know to watch Game 1 of Week 6 of the 2021 NFL Season.

Who is playing “Thursday Night Football” tonight?

  • Match: Buccaneers to Eagles
  • Site: Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Buccaneers travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles and open Week 6 of the 2021 NFL season. The Buccaneers are looking to win their third straight game and have gone 4-1 to start the campaign. Their only loss came to the Rams, another team with a 4-1 record.

Tampa Bay has an excellent offense scoring 33.4 points per game, good for the third most in the NFL. The Eagles sit in the middle of the field defensively and allow 24.8 points per game. So if they want to win, they’ll have to keep pace with the Buccaneers’ offense.

It won’t necessarily be easy. The Bucs have the best running defense in the NFL, allowing just 45.8 rushing yards per game. However, they’re allowing a league-high 314.4 yards per game, and that’s the strength of the Hurts and the Eagles. Will they find enough success if they can’t run the ball, however? This is a question that deserves to be asked.

It’s also worth noting that Brady has a career 12-3 record in Thursday night games. He’s 5-2 in seven career games against the Eagles.
