President Joe Biden still tested positive for COVID-19 and will remain in isolation, his doctor said Sunday.

The announcement comes a day after Biden again tested positive for the virus in a rebound case. Biden first contracted COVID earlier in July and suffered from moderate symptoms.

White House physician Kevin O’Connor said Biden “continues to feel good” in an updated letter to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

“Given his rebound positivity which we reported yesterday, we continued daily monitoring. This morning, unsurprisingly, his SARS-CoV-2 antigen test remained positive,” O’Connor wrote. “The President will continue his strict isolation measures as previously stated.”

“He will continue to direct the affairs of the American people from the executive residence,” he added. As I’ve said before, the President continues to be extraordinarily conscientious about protecting any member of the Executive Residence, the White House, the Secret Service, and other personnel whose duties require closeness (although socially distant) with him.”
